Hidden "anti-aging product" for the workplace!

As working women, we often face the trouble of appearance management in the busy work. Anti-aging and prevention of skin photoaging are common needs. There is something that often appears around you that you may never have known about. It is a hidden "anti-aging product".

A study that collected data from 375,000 people found that coffee has a significant protective effect on preventing facial skin aging. Specifically, for every additional standard serving of coffee consumed, the risk of facial skin aging is approximately reduced by 15%.

Surely some friends are wondering: Then why can coffee resist aging? What plays an anti-aging role?

The answer is the natural component in coffee: chlorogenic acid.

Chlorogenic acid, also known as coffee tannic acid, has biological activities such as antioxidation, anti-inflammation, antibacterial and antiviral. It was first discovered and extracted from green coffee beans. To this day, coffee beans and their products remain the main food source of chlorogenic acid in common foods.

In addition to coffee, there are also some foods that contain relatively rich chlorogenic acid, such as honeysuckle, chicory, blueberries, sunflower seeds, cherries, eggplants, etc. However, the chlorogenic acid content in coffee is still far ahead. Incidentally, the process of roasting coffee beans leads to a reduction in chlorogenic acid. Light-roasted coffee beans retain more chlorogenic acid than dark-roasted ones.

Chlorogenic acid has the effect of regulating blood sugar, blood lipid and blood pressure. Consuming more than 200mg of chlorogenic acid daily may be beneficial for improving fasting blood sugar and reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes. It is also beneficial for weight management. For overweight and obese people, taking less than 400mg of chlorogenic acid daily for more than 8 weeks has a significant effect on reducing BMI.

On the last day of last year, another magical function of chlorogenic acid was confirmed: The China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences published an article in the top international journal Aging Cell, proving that chlorogenic acid can not only inhibit cellular aging, but also effectively prevent the accelerated aging process of the skin due to ultraviolet radiation, which is what we commonly call "preventing skin photoaging".

So those who can't live without coffee are really lucky! From now on, every morning when I buy coffee, I silently tell myself that this is not just for work, but also for beauty!
